I Will Wreck This Journal!!!!!
A few weeks back I found out about "Wreck This Journal" by Keri Smith!
I was so excited reading people's comments about how much fun they have had with this book, and looking at the photos online, so I went onto Ebay straight away and purchased my own.
It finally arrived in the mail, and I can not wait to get started!!!!
Bring on the creativity.
This is the first thing I did (I wanted to get started as soon as I could)

High Tea
During the ages of 18 - 23 I was a biiiiiig energy drink consumer, drinking a lot of Red Bulls/Mother/Monster/V anything to give me that kick to keep going, and I was feeling the effects of it, I was feeling unhealthy and gross every time I had one.
Then one day, at my besties house for breakfast I tried some tea and I've been drinking it since, for about a year now, and what a difference it's made!!!
So today, my boyfriend and I went and had high tea at an awesome tea shop, T2. It was very overwhelming, seeing the list of teas and snacks to choose from, I've only been drinking English Breakfast and Chamomile.
Eventually we went for a Madagascan Vanilla tea and we did not regret it one bit. We also had some short bread cookies to go along with it.
After our afternoon tea we went to the shop next door, which was full of tea pots, tea cups, different flavours and a whole bunch of utensils. I wanted to get a new tea pot, but couldn't find one that took my fancy.
So now I'm even more of a fan, my Mum and I are going back to have high tea next week and I can't wait.

I can see a rainbow.
I love anything colourful!!!
Ever since I found out about the acronym of ROY G BIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) back in the beginning of year 7, my OCD goes into overdrive and everything must be colour co-ordinated in this order.
We did this cute little art and craft project at work and of course my OCD was brought out!!
All we used was
Salt (lots of it)
Chalk (all sorts of colours)
Clear Jars
Paper

Pour salt onto paper |

Choose chalk and rub the chalk into the salt |

Continue using the different colours until the jar is full. Put the lid on (we super glued the lid) and then put on display. |

Gettin' fit!!!
So the netball season is upon us!
(woo hoo!!!)
We've had one game so far (which I had my first EVER fall, and sprained a ligament in my foot - the sad thing is that I had run into my own team mate!! =S) and after a week and a half of limping around, I can actually walk properly again!
Other than netball, I joined the gym, with much hesitation, I joined Anytime Fitness, but haven't been able to go as much as I have wanted to because of my foot!! =(
But as well as the gym and netball, all the staff at the work are participating in this years Sun-Herald City2Surf!!!
It's a 14 km run/walk to raise money for a charity of your choice (we're probably going to go with a charity to do with kids) and this is all to promote healthy eating and exercise at work, which we have started today with doing a "workout" program, where we were doing Jumping Jacks, Crunches, Squats, Lunges, Burpees all to LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem! It was a lot of fun to see the kids trying to keep up with one another. Hopefully it'll be a daily occurrence!
So now it's time for the pain of getting back into shape, I was lazy over summer but am now finally getting back into the habit of things!!!

Mother's Day Craft
This week at work, we're focusing on Mother's Day craft (which I'm sure all child care centres are)
Today we made the cutest handprint cards and thought I should share it since they were so easy to make and so cute.
All you will need is

Yay! I have a title!!!!
After much thought, I finally came up with a title for my blog!!!
And I think it fits nicely!
I couldn't decide what to call it. I went on google to try and find a name generator but it just wasn't work out.
And then it just came to me, and it was perfect, the two things that I'm passionate about - Travelling and Working with children, both of these things I have been doing my whole life and I'll still be doing them both in years to come!
So I'm very excited to have changed the title!!
Yay!!! =) =)

Nerd Alert
I love a good dress up party!
Here in Aus, we have a tradition, where if you are turning 18 or 21 everyone must throw a big party with a theme!!
Where as in America, the one night to dress up is of course - Halloween!!
We don't celebrate Halloween here like they do in America, the whole build up, the pumpkin picking/carving, the orange leaves, the houses putting scary skeletons and ghosts around their front lawn, the children going door to door, chanting out "trick or treat" and admiring their costumes, the halloween parade in Greenwich Village and the parties, it's just not the same here!
And thats just one thing I miss!!!
However, I do think us Aussies excel in dress up parties, and I just had to break out my old Halloween costume back from 2009, from when I was living in Pelham, New York!!
New York Baby
In exactly 4 months today - my bestest friend Elly and I are heading to New York City, my home away from home while I was living in the U S of A!!!
We have been planning this trip for months and months, saving lots of money, figuring out where we wanted to go, when we were able to go (getting leave from work was a little bit more difficult for one of us!!!) and finally as of today we got our tickets!! Woooo hoooo!!!
And the most exciting thing is
1) we shall be celebrating Elly's birthday while we are in NYC
And
2) we shall be celebrating a friends engagement party!!!
And now the count down begins and September couldn't come any faster!!!!

Hi
I'm Nicole and I'm a Mac-aholic!
Ok, well not really!!!
Yesterday I finally bought a Mac - with having the desire and wanting to buy one for over 3 years now (having been incredibly jealous seeing my friend buy one and being able to play with it) I finally got one!!!
I haven't been able to stop playing with it since!
I spent the night I got it, playing with it, reading the manual, looking up youtube videos for tips and tricks, (and I'm normally in bed by 9:30, having to be at work by 6:30, so someone was tired the next day) spending my working day, planning what kind of case I wanted to buy for it looking on ebay and etsy for the perfect case, trying to find some cool vinyl decals to put on the cover, then spending a friday night, in bed, with my new mac on my lap!!
I'm very happy with my decision to finally get one, and I find this all so exciting!!!
